A statue in Lhasa, Tibet, is crying small pearls, reports a German journalist. The statue is of Shakyamuni Buddha and is in the Jokhang Temple. The lama who related the story to the journalist reports that the statue cries frequently and the lamas are always very moved when it happens. The journalist brought five of the pearls to Munich where he plans to have one analysed by a chemist. Describing the pearls he said: "They are lovely and look like love-pearls."
